Folk Art Bike Ride: Historic South Central LA

Presented in collaboration with Free the Streets
(Meetup 10:45am at Mercado La Paloma, 3655 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles CA 90007 • Ride at 11:00am)
As with all Folk Art Bike Rides, we’ll mix an exploration of art, neighborhoods, and unique community gathering spots. This time we’ll focus on Historic South Central LA, which includes LA’s old jazz district. This is also a special ride as it will serve as a “feeder” ride to Free the Streets, a party and fundraiser to celebrate CicLAvia’s extension into South LA (at Mercado La Paloma). We will ride part of the proposed route and explore spots like the African American Fire Fighter Museum.
