Special effects master Gabe Bartalos sits down for a rare in-person conversation with legendary artist Matthew Barney. Join us for an unforgettable evening as these two share their insights on special effects on such films as the Cremaster Cycle (1995-2002), giving voice to their thoughts, processes, and motivations.  Prior to the event is the opening of the University Art Museum, CSULB’s fall exhibition Gabe Bartalos: Abhorrence and Obsession on September 7, 2013 from 6pm to 8pm, this exhibition showcases over twenty years of Bartalos’ special effects career.
